Mortal Kombat 5 (GBA) - Fatalities incl. Tournament Edition

#MK5 #fatality #mortalkombat Out of curiosity, I played the GBA ports of Mortal Kombat 5 Deadly Alliance again. Strangely, they made two games (Deadly Alliance and the Tournament Edition), and each game has different characters and stages from the original MK5 for consoles. Like... 2 games with 50% of the komplete content. The graphics are interesting, basically Mario Kart if it was a beat em up, even though its what we call Pixelbrei in Germany (pixel mush), and sidestep-dodge doesn't really work with 2D sprites in a 3D stage. What really baffles me though is how close the GBA music sounds to the music of the console game. In Tournament Version, they added Noob Saibot and Sareena. I think Sareena isn't playable in any other MK game besides Armageddon. There are some downsides though which make the games just okay to me: They removed the weapon stance from the console MK5 and instead turned some of the weapon attacks into special moves instead, which feels shoehorned in. 0:00 Scorpion (both Editions) 0:29 S
