Renovations in Full Swing at Ryunohara Shokudo

Lots of progress with the kitchen over the last two weeks. All the sinks and appliances are in, it got used for the first time, it got a new countertop, new roof extension with yakisugi (burnt sugi wood), and it's starting to look like a real kitchen. We're nestled deep in the mountains of Ryujinmura, Wakayama Prefecture. The 2 farmhouses on the property are 60 and 120 years old. We will use natural farming techniques, so no tilling, no fertilisers, pesticides, and no weeding. A farm-to-table cafe is in the works.
