«Дон Жуан» Моцарта появился на сцене Большого театра в 1825 году и с тех пор возвращался на эти подмостки чаще, чем какая-либо из опер великого австрийца. В новом спектакле герои легендарной истории принадлежат к обществу, где царит культ гедонизма и безудержной жажды наслаждений. По словам режиссёра, эта «постановка не о соблазнителе, а о человеке, который живёт, играя, — любя жизнь, он хочет получить от неё всё». Don Giovanni by Mozart appeared at The Bolshoi in 1825 and since then it has returned to our stage more than any other opera by the great Austrian. In the new performance, the characters of this legendary story belong to a society where the cult of hedonism and an uncontrollable thirst for pleasure reign. According to the director, this “production is not about a seducer but a person who lives playing and while loving life, he wants to get everything out of it”.
