Please subscribe to my channel Discover historic Dörrenbach A Hidden Gem - In The Südliche Weinstrasse District of Germany The village is first mentioned as Turrenbach in a deed of donation in 992, when King Otto III gave it, along with the estates of Oberotterbach and Niederotterbach, to the monastery of Seltz in Alsace on March 11. The name, which means “place on a dried up brook,“ evolved into Dorrenbach, Thurrenbach, Derrenbach, and, since the nineteenth century, Dörrenbach. Palatinate joie de vivre and a picture-book romantic village: Dörrenbach, known as the “Palatinate's Sleeping Beauty,“ was named the most beautiful village on the Southern Wine Route as early as 1975. Stroll past charming half-timbered homes, the historic fortified church, the old town hall designed in the Renaissance era, and the outdoor stage. #dörrenbach #doerrenbach #weinstrasse #winestreet #hiddengem #hiddenplaces #germany #deutschland #wi
