Indonesia again suffers from a strong earthquake that occurred on June 6 in the province of West Sulawesi. Tens of thousands of residents fled to higher ground following a magnitude 5.8 earthquake in the Mamuju region. The epicenter of the earthquake was in the sea at a depth of 10 kilometers, at a distance of 26 kilometers from West Tapalang. In Mamuju, the tremors were felt at level 5 on the MMI scale. This means that almost everyone felt it. Houses are shaking, residents are running out of buildings, goods are falling from minimarket shelves. It is reported that the roof of one of the buildings collapsed. Four people received moderate injuries. Fortunately, the earthquake did not cause a tsunami, although it was relatively shallow and was in the sea.
