PAINTING VIDEO DESCRIPTION – Looking for an easy fantasy painting idea? Want a fun mystical DIY project? Let me be your acrylic art instructor as I teach you easy step-by-step instructions throughout this fun beginner art video as you learn how to paint fairies in fairyland—a whimsical and enchanting painting “FAIRY FOREST” with acrylic paint. When I reminisce on my childhood and think about the first time I learned about fairies, only a couple of things come to mind. First would be the fairy godmother in Disney’s Cinderella, second would be the three fairy godmothers in Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, and third would be Tinker Bell who I originally saw in Disney’s classic Peter Pan, but then I saw again as an adult in Hook starring Robin Williams back in the mid-nineties. I’m sure there have been plenty of movies since with fairies in them, but those are the only movies that come to my mind right now. Although I really like all the fairy godmothers and all that they did for both princesses helping them to conquer evil and live life happily ever after with their prince charming, I like Tinker Bell the most. Probably more so how she was portrayed by Julie Roberts in Hook. She was super cool, she carried a dagger, wore leather shorts, was kind of a tomboy, and was strong enough to pick up a man, and she lived in a big tree overlooking the bay in Neverland. And, of course, she has magic pixie dust. Who wouldn’t want to be able to fly around all day? For this painting I decided to try and imagine where other fairies would live. So, join me and learn to paint fairies, an enchanted forest, sparkles, bubbles, and magical huts! The painting process for this beginner art lesson is so simple. In the first step to this acrylic art lesson, you’ll learn how to paint atmosphere in the background using glowing colors in order to capture the magical and alluring feel of a hidden and mystical forest. Then you'll learn how to paint trees and branches using a one brushstroke technique. Then, after learning how to draw and paint fairy huts and silhouettes of your little flying ladies using a dot-to-dot method, you’ll learn how to paint highlights and shadows to your tiny flying dancers giving their bodies form, texture and movement, creating a realistic 3-D appearance like a photograph. The art lesson is so easy to follow, you’ll feel like it’s a paint by numbers. Have fun and create the perfect canvas wall art to spark the imagination. Using only 3 brushes, and 8 colors, you’ll paint this fantasy illustration style image just like a professional and create the best canvas painting in the world! Have a date night, paint party, paint and sip event, or virtual paint night. Paint with gouache, oil paint, or watercolor, any medium will work! Paint just for fun or for art therapy. It's an easy art project for anyone. I hope you enjoy watching this YouTube art video and let's get painting and let's get sipping!
