Track 6 from his fourth album “The Pretender” released in 1976 copyright Asylum Records. It was recorded at Sunset Sound in Hollywood. The album’s sense of despair was shaped by the tragic death of Browne’s wife, Phyllis Major, a successful fashion model, who overdosed on pills at their Hollywood Hills home early in the recording process. The couple’s son Ethan was only two years old at the time. The single “Here Come Those Tears Again,” co-written with Major’s mother, was dedicated to her memory. The album received above average reviews and reached No. 5 on the Billboard chart. It achieved Gold status almost immediately, Platinum status within five months and was certified 3X Platinum in 2006. Written by Jackson Browne and produced by Jon Landau. RIP Lowell George, Jeff Porcaro & Dick Hyde. Featuring: Jackson Browne – Lead vocals, acoustic guitar on “The Fuse” & “Your Bright Baby Blues” Special Guests: Craig Doerge – Piano Fred Tackett – Acoustic & rhythm guitars Leland Sklar
