Probability is simply how likely something is to happen. Whenever we're unsure about the outcome of an event, we can talk about the probabilities of certain outcomes—how likely they are. The factor of a number is a number that divides the given number completely without any remainder. The factors of a number can be positive or negative. For example, let us find the factors of 8. Since 8 is divisible by 1, 2, 4, and 8, we can list the positive factors of 8 as, 1, 2, 4, and 8. Problem: A special die is made in the shape of an icosahedron, and its faces are numbered with the numbers 1 to 20. When the die is thrown there is an equal chance of any face landing uppermost. If the die is thrown once, what is the probability that the face that lands uppermost has a number that is a factor of 20? A) 2/10 B) 1/4 C) 3/10 D) 7/20 #simpleProbability #math #Statistics #chances #coinToss #probabilityLine #likelyEvent #unlikelyEvent #NikolaysGeneticsLessons #geetics #pedigree #genotype #phenotype #Probability #multiplicationRule #additionRule #mutuallyExclusive #independentEvents #crashCourse #crashcourse #stats #apStats #apStatistics #Conditional #theoretical #empirical #independent #Education #introduction #sampleSpace #treeDiagrams #chance #lesson #maths #data #probabilityFormula #basicProbability #biology
