In this video I show you how to make a proper, large rectangular rope mat. This design is very appropriate for a door mat. I used 5/16 inch (8mm) rope for this project. 4 pieces of rope were used in order to create a 4 pass mat. This project is one of the rare ones where a jig is almost a must. It makes tying faster and almost entirely removes the need for tightening after tying. Enjoy the video!
