Here is how I paint this lotus flower using ibisPaint: -- I kept my sketch on the very top layer. I hide this layer after I roughly painted/marked all the neccessary areas (as indicated in the video), before I did the detailing part of the painting. -- I start by “airbrushing“ a blurry “leaves“ background with bluish and greenish color over the black background. I like this kind of out focus look which gives some sort of depth of field to the image. -- Add a new layer above the leaves layer. Here I painted the lotus flower shape with a solid pale pink color (using the Trapezoid“ 40% brush) -- I added a clipping layer above the previous flower shape layer, and airbrush most of the petal colors at around 20% opacity -- Add a new layer above the previous layer. I painted a solid green color of the bottom petals. -- Add a clipping layer above the green layer, and airbrushed the details of the green petals. -- Add a layer all the way on top, and painted all the details of the flower here
