December 16-27, 1998. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Draughts-64 World Championship among men according to FMJD in 1998 in Odessa (Ukraine) was held in two rounds: the first 8 rounds according to Swiss system, and then final – the strongest 8 players with scoring of 1st stage were defining champion and other prize-winners according to circular system. As in the two previous championships, the drawing of initial moves and positions was applied.
