From the “Songs For You“ EP: This song was the first I finished on ‘Songs For You’ - it started life as an attempt at an uplifting poem and became a little hymn and then this song. It’s very special to me. The video was conceived by my brilliant friend Georgia King; she captured the grimy melancholic ache of longing, support and love. But there is hope, the building of the ‘sun tv wall’, the stitching together of memories, the ultimate relief of seeing someone strong and ready to ‘rise up’ again. My friend and Punisher co-star, Floriana Lima, graciously agreed to love me for the day. …The string arrangement by Oliver Krauss is just the most special thing that happened on this record. He melted my heart with this.
