Jean Marie & Flaremode increase the momentum for Smash The House offshoot Generation Smash with ‘Dolci Pensieri’ Smash The House have sat amongst the higher tier of dance music labels for a long time, with a countless number of Beatport chart-topping releases and providing homes for the likes of heavyweights such as label heads Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Bassjackers, W&W, Wolfpack and many more, and after launching a new platform for the next phase of upcoming talent in Generation Smash recently, Smash The House’s new imprint for rising stars follows up with the second instalment, drafting in Jean Marie and Flaremode for ‘Dolci Pensieri’. Although designed for fresh talent, Jean Marie is no stranger to the electronic world, having played mainstage at the likes of Ultra Music Festival, while Flaremode boast a residency on Billboard Radio. Providing a new entry into an ever-growing market and giving newer artists the opportunity to break into a saturated world, Generation Smash provides burgeoning talent the foundation they deserve to let their music shine. The second release, ‘Dolci Pensieri’, features an impressive array of synth work, including an arpeggio that is introduced from the beginning, increasing in tempo and providing a soundbed upon which the vocal is introduced, an operatic effort which gives the song an instant anthemic feel. The vocal evolves into a repeating sample, which doubles in frequency as the intensity increases. The main elements are complemented throughout with a number of synthesized licks and a pitched vocal, which keeps the interest piqued throughout. Generation Smash has stamped its mark with the first two releases, ensuring the quality control is high and only the best new artists will make the roster. ‘Dolci Pensieri’ is a fine example, marking Jean Marie and Flaremode as names everyone should be looking out for.
