On the 24th of April 2015 I went for the longest trip in my life on bicycle. Started in Kyiv, late evening when I jumped into the train to reach Kovel, that is 500 km to the West from Kyiv. The next morning I rushed to the West to Europe. The final destination was Berlin. I challenged my friend Alona Fedirko to go together with me. She joined straight away for such an ordeal. We planned to achieve Berlin in 8 days, covering 125 km every day. Instead we coped in less than 5.5 days, exactly in 125 hours. Here are some of my thoughts from this trip. Day 1. Covered 186 km in 8h20m on bike, average speed We got under the heavy rain straight after the beginning of our journey. 50 km we did on Ukraine’s territory, so we could feel dust on the teeth, sand in the throat and road with holes. Despite of that, I could feel how convenient is the seat on my new bike Kellys Phanatic 10, that I bought for this trip. Day 2.
