Apart from recording overdubs after the end of the long “Jazz Tour“, the band have used the time to also record a few songs for their upcoming album, “The Game“, which would be released in 1980 and change the band forever. Before embarking on their next tour in November 1979, the band played this one-off show at the Saarbrücken Open Air Festival, along with acts like Ten Years Later and Rory Gallagher. While most attendees weren’t necessarily Queen fans, many of them were won over during the 95 minute performance of the band which features a unique setlist and a strong vocal performance by Freddie, finally able to rest
