The President of Zimbabwe, in his speech at the plenary session at SPIEF 2024, thanked Dmitry Mazepin, Chairman of the RSPP Commission on the Production and Market of Mineral Fertilizers, for his assistance in organizing the supply of a humanitarian batch of fertilizers to the African country. Speaking at the plenary session of the 27th St. PIEF, Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa noted that the humanitarian assistance was delivered at a very timely pace given the climate challenges faced by the country, which is located in the southern part of the African continent. A humanitarian shipment of Russian fertilizers amounting to 23,000 tons was delivered and transferred to Zimbabwe in May this year. The shipment, consisting of potassium chloride and complex fertilizers, was realized with the assistance of the UN, which chartered a ship to transport fertilizers from Europe to the port of Beira in Mozambique. From there, the humanitarian cargo was delivered to Zimbabwe by land. Source: Russian Head
