Huge fire erupts near Londons O2 after explosion at film set spreads out of control

A FIRE has “spread out of control“ after a planned explosion on a film set sent a fireball and thick black smoke into the London sky. Flames erupted across the Thames from The O2 Arena tonight after a BBC World News lorry was set on fire. The controlled explosion was right on the river's edge at a Silvertown commercial site with locals nearby catching it on video and hearing loud cracks. But the fire spread “out of control“ with the London Fire Brigade called to extinguish it they revealed in a statement. Footage posted to social media shows the blaze in the city's east burning at around 8pm today. People across the Thames at the music venue said they were able to hear the bangs and that they could see smoke. One video caught of the fire shows it burning before it erupts in a bright orange explosion, reportedly the third eruption of the night.
