Of 45 onboard, 43 died at the scene. One of the two survivors, Alexander Galimov, died five days later in hospital. The famed ice hockey club, founded in 1949 and three-time Russian national champions, was due to play Dinamo Minsk on September 9 in the first match of the 2011-12 season for the Continental Hockey League (KHL).
