Point in line is the position where a fencer extends their arm with the point of the sabre aiming at the target area. If the line is established correctly, the attacker must break the line with a beat before finishing the attack. PIL is a useful tool for long defense and can be used to hit directly or used to set up other actions such as counterattacks and parries. This is a compilation of it being used at the highest level.
