Public hearings in the advisory proceedings on the legal consequences arising from the policies and practices of Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, will commence on Monday at the International Court of Justice. This is a separate case from the one brought by South Africa against Israel questioning its compliance with its obligations under the Genocide Convention concerning its current military offensive in Gaza.
