This album is dedicated to the sacred memory of Hazel Craig Barard, spiritual marrain to the Lower 9-11; and in recollection and respect for the highly-esteemed music of Vernel Fournier, whose Second Line drummin' on Ahmad Jamal's “Poinciana“ opened the door for it all. I am a fan since 1973 and enjoyed the live performance of Dr. John & The Lower 911 in Paradiso Amsterdam 2nd of July 2012 very much. I was back in the seventies!
