Published on Nov 30, 2015 Gretsch guitars have been around since the early 1950’s and were originally endorsed by Jazz and Country players such as Chet Atkins, it was only when a certain englishman who went by the name of George Harrison started to play this guitar that Gretsch crossed over to the mainstream guitar market, and as the phenomenon of the Beatles exploded onto the music scene Gretsch guitars received a much needed exposure .. Here’s another video in a series of guitar demo’s with the wonderful guitarist Jess Lewis improvising some fine jazz inspired laid back grooves. Many thanks Jess x. We played through a Fender 68 Princeton Reverb combo, simply mic’d with a Shure Beta 57.
