Singapore began its greening journey in the 1960s with the extensive greening of the island to provide shade and access to green spaces for all. Over the years, our home has become more vibrant with native flowering trees and shrubs sprouting up where we live and along our roads and walkways. Our green spaces are now more accessible and inclusive for the community, and our natural ecosystems continue to support the rich biodiversity that call this island home. As we move towards becoming a City in Nature, Singapore continues to build upon what we have achieved to further restore nature into our urban fabric. We hope to create a more liveable Singapore for all, in which we can live with and alongside nature. Take a walk with us to explore what our City in Nature holds. -- Follow NParks on social media!
