Stage 2 of the 17th Arthur Rubinstein Competiton from Tel Aviv, Israel In this stage, the 16 pianists selected from those participating in the 1st stage compete. Only six pianists will reach the final stage. The 17th Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition (March 2023, Tel Aviv). The Rubinstein Competition is one of the leading piano competitions in the world. The first competition took place in 1974, with Maestro Rubinstein himself on the Jury. Since then brilliant pianists from all over the world have been traveling to Tel Aviv to participate in the renowned contest, and its acclaimed and accomplished prize winners, such as Emanuel Ax, Janina Fialkowska, Gerhard Oppitz, Alexander Korsantia, Kiril Gershtein, Alexander Gavrylyuk, Igor Levit, Seong-Jin Cho, Boris Giltburg, Daniil Trifonov, Khatia Buniatishvili, Roman Rabinovich and Juan Pérez Floristán, are leading participants in the international piano music scene.
