A British cop appeared to be thwarted in his pursuit of a small-time drug dealer when the dealer managed to escape on bicycle. The suspect, identified as Sean Christopher Prosser, had been spotted doing unusual things with several phones near a public park in the town of Northampton, but escaped by bike when Constable Lewis Marks moved in to make an arrest. Not fast enough to chase on foot, and unable to maneuver his police van through the narrow paths and alleys, Marks had no choice but to commandeer a more suitable vehicle, namely, another bicycle, and the low-speed chase ensued. Taking a shortcut through the park, Marks was not only able to catch up with Prosser, but even managed to use the bike as something of a makeshift weapon, launching it squarely at Prosser’s face like some sort of irregularly shaped bowling ball. Prosser, who was found to be in possession of several cell phones, large quantities of cash, and drugs hidden within a Kinder Surprise toy (for those of you not familiar, it’s a chocolate egg that contains a toy in a small plastic case, and is illegal in the US as it is considered more dangerous to children than guns). Prosser was ultimately sent to prison for over three years. The commandeered bike was returned, undamaged, to its owner, who seemed remarkably unbothered by the situation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Freedom over censorship, truth over narrative.
