Majorana in Chains by Ilya Drozdov

Appearing today in Science magazine, our group reports the observation of Majorana fermions in chains of Fe atoms on the surface of Pb. This short video shows schematically how evaporation and annealing of Fe on a Pb (110) surface can be used to make chains made up of Fe atom (the actual chains in the experiment are triple chains).
