Restored footage from 1915 of two children riding in an electriquette, a small slow-speed motorized chair, at the Panama-California Exposition held in San Diego, California. 200 electriquettes were built by the Los Angeles Exposition Motor Chair Company and were available for rent at the exposition. They could carry 2 to 3 people and were used to travel around the 640-acre exposition. The Panama–California Exposition was held at Balboa Park to celebrate the opening of the Panama Canal. Footage frame rate increased, upscaled and “colorized” by HistoryColored using AI technology.
