Mast Qalandar - Kalanidhi Dance Company - Kuchipudi

Debuted in Kalanidhi’s original production titled Poetry of Love and featured in the Colorado Fine Arts Association’s Prakriti: The Nature Festival, Kalanidhi Dance’s presentation of Mast Qalandar has captivated audiences everywhere. The dance is inspired by Amir Khusro’s song, Mast Qalandar, celebrating the intoxicating bliss of complete devotion. The dancers invoke the rhythm and spirit of the Sufi practice of whirling, a spiritual ascent through love into the divine.
