------------- FAQ on Life’s Purpose and Spirituality What is the fundamental question that drives the search for meaning in life? The fundamental question that drives the search for meaning is: “What is the purpose of this life?“ This question arises from a deep human desire to understand our existence, our origins, and what happens to us after death. It’s triggered by major life events like loss or a sense of life’s fleeting nature, and marks a shift from mundane concerns to a search for deeper significance. According to spiritual perspectives, what is the primary purpose of human life? From a spiritual perspective, the primary purpose of human life is to realize our true nature as a soul, a divine spark of the Source (God or Creator). We are here to know ourselves, to know God, to love God and to have love for all, and to ultimately merge back into God, our source. This involves spiritual growth, learning and experiencing, and removing the layers that obscure our authentic selves. Our purpose is also to express ourselves fully and authentically, allowing our souls to shine through and impact the physical and spiritual realms. What does it mean to “express your soul,“ and why is it so difficult? To “express your soul“ means allowing your true essence to shine through without the layers of protection you’ve built up. This is difficult because, from a young age, we learn to cover up our authentic selves to gain approval, avoid pain, and feel accepted. These layers become our identity, but they are not truly who we are. This authentic expression is essential to fulfilling our potential and finding true purpose. What is the role of meditation in discovering one’s spiritual purpose? Meditation, particularly “SOS Meditation“ or meditation on the Inner Light of God, is the scientific experiment of spirituality. It is a practical method to directly experience our soul and connect with the divine current within us. By stilling the body and mind and focusing attention within, we can access the inner spiritual regions filled with love, light, and bliss. Through this practice, we become conscious of our spiritual nature and our innate connection to God, helping us discover our true purpose in life. How does understanding the soul impact our daily lives and relationships? When we experience our soul through meditation, we are transformed. We move beyond the limitations of the physical world and tap into the love, peace, and joy that reside within us. As we become embodiments of the love we experience, fear, anxiety and loneliness diminish, and we develop a deep love for all living beings. This leads to a life of service and compassion, as we recognize the divinity within everyone, which enhances relationships and impacts our behavior toward others. In what ways does the physical realm connect to the spiritual realm, and why is this important? The physical and spiritual realms are deeply interconnected, often described with the principle “as above, so below, as within, so without“. This means that our actions and emotions in the physical realm impact the spiritual realm, and vice versa. Our souls are sparks of divinity that connect us to the Creator, but they cannot express themselves on the physical plane without a body. Understanding this connection empowers us to positively influence both realms through our thoughts, actions, and vibrations. How does recognizing the finite nature of life impact the pursuit of one’s spiritual purpose? Acknowledging the finite nature of life and living with the awareness of death (“with death on your shoulder“) is crucial for living a purposeful life. It serves as a constant reminder to live fully, align our actions with our soul’s calling, and make choices that lead to a life without regrets. By remembering the brevity of life, we are more likely to live authentically, express our true selves, and fulfill our spiritual purpose in the limited time we have on Earth. What are the potential consequences of not fulfilling one’s spiritual purpose in this lifetime? If we do not fulfill our spiritual purpose in this lifetime, our lives will be for “naught.“ We are here for a reason, and failing to use our time to express our souls, make a positive impact, and work toward returning to our Source, means we will not have used the physical body to fulfill its intended purpose of spiritual growth and service to humanity. The time is given to us as a precious gift, and a wasted life is one that doesn’t acknowledge and utilize that gift for its intended purpose of growing the soul.
