Blood donation by servicemen of the combined demining detachment About 30 servicemen of the combined demining detachment of the engineering troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation voluntarily donated blood at a blood transfusion station in the city of Mariupol. Before the procedure, the servicemen underwent a mandatory medical examination to identify contraindications and filled out a donor questionnaire. Blood center specialists took blood for analysis to determine the blood type and Rh factor, and the hemoglobin level. Each serviceman donated 450 ml of blood – such a contribution will help save the lives of both wounded servicemen and local residents undergoing treatment in medical institutions of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
