Two Stages of the Cortez Angelfish! It’s hard to believe that the vividly colored juvenile grows up to be the more muted looking adult. The Cortez Angelfish (Pomacanthus Zonipectus) is native to the eastern Pacific Ocean. They can reach a total body length of about 46 cm (18 in) and are found between depths of 6 and 50 m (20 and 164 ft).
