What’s it like living with someone who contemplates suicide on a regular basis? Tanya Harrison knows. She’s married to Sergeant Craig Harrison, a former Army sniper who, during a 23-year military career, once held the record for the longest kill in combat. Craig was medically discharged with complex PTSD in 2013 and has suffered with debilitating mental trauma ever since. He spoke with brutal honesty and raw emotion about his issues in a recent Veterans’ Foundation film. Now it’s time to hear from his wife, Tanya – one of the many unsung heroes who live with partners who battle the psychological damage caused by what they’ve experienced during active service. *If you’d like to help soldiers like Craig, and the families that support them, please play the Veterans’ Lottery.
