Unintentional crash tests from the Belle Epoque I don’t think that most of these accidents caused fatalities.. the car structures of that age were excellent “kinetic energy absorbers” ; the damage concentrated on the car bodies rather than the people bodies.. they were made of wood frames and metal sheets assembled by bolts, for sure they were better shock absorbers than most of the cars from the sixties and seventies did.. these last were authentic moving coffins
