Kudlow also claimed that Trump had inherited “a stagnant economy on the front end of recession.” But a wide array of key economic metrics under Obama’s second term and Trump’s first years in office – including GDP growth and unemployment rates – undermine Kudlow’s claim. Kudlow happened to be speaking on the six-month anniversary of some of his most widely criticized remarks about the coronavirus.
