Work is underway on a new Iskander version with an estimated missile range of 1,000 km. Information about the development of an extended-range Iskander appeared of missile systems that go beyond the defunct INF Treaty. As the portal writes, the updated Iskander can be deployed as part of existing missile brigades, which significantly simplifies and reduces the cost of operation, and the new missile was tested for the first time back in May at the Kapustin Yar test site (the test launch on video). Recall that the current 9M723 ballistic missile of the Iskander-M OTRK is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 500 km. Thus, the missile systems will be able to cover twice the distance, while maintaining high protection against air defense systems in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Source: Cyberspec News
