In one day at the coldest city in the world Yakutsk where they recorded the lowest temperatures in the world, we experienced ice plunging, with the local walrus Russian winter swimming and cold exposure group. We tried dog sledding with Siberian huskies and Alaskan huskies, tried the local Siberian cuisine in the coldest places in the world. We also visited the permafrost kingdom which is a museum like gallery built inside the permafrost layer. The entire region in Yakutia is built on this permafrost layer of ice which never melts. We ended the day at the Para Bakalov bar in the city centre of Yakutsk. Some of the coldest cities in the world are located in countries like Mongolia, Canada, the United States in States like Alaska and Minnesota but when it comes to the coldest city in the world, Yakutsk is in a league of its own.
