Using Inside Position to Defend the Body Lock: Like this video? Please subscribe! Today we answer a post-training question about how best to defend the body lock IF you can get your arms to the inside position. Most of the time we use posts, frames and head position to counter the body lock pass. But another good option - especially if you’re late to your initial framing defense - is to take INSIDE POSITION with your arms. Of course sometimes this is not possible and the lock is too tight (video on this coming soon). But when you CAN establish inside position, you can use the space to create a micro-version of the forward shift, separating your partner’s elbows enough to slip in deep underneath them. From there you can join your hands behind their neck, flare the elbows even more and enter into sumi variation that looks a lot like a double shoulder crunch. Neither my hair nor our filming was of the finest quality post-training, but we thought the material was important enough to share. Hope you like it. ⭐ ➡️ MY BIO (by John Danaher): === Like this video? Please subscribe! === 🚨 INSTAGRAM: 🚨 FACEBOOK: 🥋 SHOYOROLL: 🙇🏻 BROOKLYN BJJ:
