The 2003 conflict wasn’t the only US campaign against Iraq. In 1990, following the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, then-US President Bush Senior sanctioned ’Operation Desert Storm,’ a military operation that left about 3,000 civilians killed, as well as up to 50,000 Iraqi troops. We spoke to ‘Desert Storm’ veteran Daniel Bosworth, who compared the two military interventions in Iraq.
