this is my musical response to this 1972 computer animation. each of the 3 movements is placed at what seemed like a convenient starting point on the film timeline. no further editing was performed, and so any synergy between sound and image that prompts an affective or cognitive response, leading to signification/connotation of which the viewer/listener is conscious in whatever way, is coincidental. the pieces of music were not composed for this film, but were chosen with a ’gut instinct’ approach
