The Beatles performing “Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight, and The End.“ Being the first two approached by McCartney to the band during the Get Back sessions, they were finished together with “The End“ to make up the remembered final part of the Medley, on the Abbey Road album. McCartney was inspired by a 17th-century poem called “Cradle Song“ by Thomas Dekker to compose the melody for “Golden Slumbers.“ “Carry That Weight“ was written primarily by Paul, although credited to Lennon-McCartney as the vast majority of the band's compositions. Finally, “The End“ is known for being the last song that all members of The Beatles recorded together. The song features a resonant drum solo from Ringo Starr, and a series of guitar solos, beginning with Paul McCartney, followed by George Harrison and John Lennon, respectively.
