Here's an old time country song I wrote a few weeks ago. The title is a riff on the phrase “vale of tears“ (a symbolic “valley of sorrow“ which represents the suffering of earthly existence). For this song, I prefer the imagery of somebody lifting a veil (a cloth meant to cover or conceal), with the associated metaphorical implications. The drawings illustrate an idea I thought would make for an interesting comic book or novel: the fantastical adventures of a cowboy and his samurai warrior wife. I suppose “Vale of Tears“ would be the better option for the title of such a story, if set in an 1800's western valley as these pictures suggest. The images were created with Stable Diffusion.
