In 1972, a US C-130 Landed With Only One Engine. On April 15th, 1972, in the town of An Loc, South Vietnamese forces needed urgent help. However, the North Vietnamese blocked every way into the town. To help them, the USAF sent three C-130 aircraft with cargo needed toward the An Loc. The first two flights put the gunners on the ground on high alert, and as the third C-130 flew over the An Loc, 87 rounds struck the aircraft. The anti-aircraft fire also targeted 2 of 4 engines of the C-130. The pilot headed toward Tan Son Nhut air base. But before they could reach there, the third engine also failed. Still, the pilot still managed to land safely. Today, the C-130 is at NM USAF in Ohio.
