Luxor, the capital of Upper Egypt, offers some unmissable wonders The Temple of Amun in Luxor, or Southern Opet, is dedicated to the worship of Amun. The entrance to the temple was built by Pharaoh Ramses 2 in the 13th century BC. In front of the towers, he had 6 statues representing him placed. The sanctuary itself, the residence of Amun, with its Hypostyle hall, have kept a good part of their slab cover. Director: Jacques VICHET
