It was the last hour of the last day of the Detroit Jazz Festival, September 1, 2014. John, Martin and Bucky Pizzarelli and group were only ten minutes into their set at the Pyramid Stage when officials stopped all performances due to an approaching thunderstorm. When the storm hit, the audience dispersed and a few of us sought refuge from the rain in the partially covered lower level next to the back stage door. The video is what happened next. Thank you, John!
