The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new music video of Brainwashed Today. The track “Crying Seas“ comes off the “Alarm Phase Red“ EP on Berlin based label Futurepast, a concept album of explorative electronics about our dysfunctional societies in a climate emergency era. In line with a musical tradition of high-tech noise design, most famously represented by creators like Mika Vainio or labels like Mille Plateaux, this double LP ranges from industrial ambient to experimental techno, using the raw language of electricity to generate cinematic moods and robotic grooves. Brainwashed Today is an alias that Davy Vandegaer will use specifically for this project. Davy is a Belgian-born, Berlin-based producer, label curator, and DJ. Following on from a legacy of low-profile insiders devoted to their art and scene, he plays an active role in Belgian nightlife and beyond, being a C12 resident and regular Fuse collaborator. In the following music video, Monika Mihali approaches the mystery of nature through a futuristic granular aesthetics, using 3D particles system and combining it with real footages and effects. Monika Mihaly is a visual artist from Den Haag, Netherlands. Defining her own style as dark and moody, she is inspired by theoretical physics, philosophy and psychology.
