In the year 2006 he rejected the Field Medals [often referred to as the “Nobel Prize of mathematics“] and now in 2010, he is refusing to accept the prestigious $1 million “Millennium“ mathematics prize awarded by the Clay Mathematics Institute in Cambridge, MA.
