After I had finished playing my competition tunes, I thought I was done piping for this competition, so I went off to go see the sights. I didn't know there was going to be a play off for first place. This performance is about two hours after I had finished playing. My instructor was shouting at me to hurry up and get up to the promenade deck and I didn't know what the heck for. The elevators were too slow so I ran up the steps four decks, had to re-assemble my pipes and get them warmed up in about five minutes and then play in the fabled fishbowl of the Queen Mary, which seems to make a lot of people nervous. To be honest I was too worried about my pipes to even pay attention to all the people and other pipers around me. I placed well, but not quite sure how I did it.
