In this video i'm showing how i built my homemade metal cutting lathe mk2 from scratch! challenging myself by only making it with basic tools. It works really good and I will be using it alot in my future projects for sure! It probably won't be the most accurate machine ever, but surely good enough for me. Unfortunately i couldn't find a right size and hardened hollow headstock shaft at my local metal yards, and buying one new would have been way too expensive. Also i did pack the headstock bearings with grease, but just didn't show it on video. The autofeed works very good when doing normal work, but thread cutting is a bit to difficult for now, maybe an upgrade for later. As well as a digital readout.
