Final single release from “The Martyr Mantras“, Boy George's first (and to date, only) album as Jesus Loves You. This 12“ offers two versions- neither of which appear on the CD single or any other CD format in their full-length version. The excellent “Prophets Of Doom“ mix is up first, and was George's pick of the versions to perform live in support of this album and single in 1991- perhaps to feature Amos Pizzey, who was the backing vocalist for that tour. Next up is the “Naughty Norman Normal's Nightie Mix“, which had a number of single edits made lending me to believe that George, or someone involved with the production, felt this was the more commercial sounding version and sent out several variations of the mix hoping radio DJ's would agree. Final track here is the “Absolutely Queer“ mix of “Generations Of Love“, which got it's title from the activist campaign in London (and around the world) responsible for calling out closeted celebrities, politicians and sports stars in an effort to increase visibility of LGBTQ people from all walks of life. The promo 12“ picture sleeve was a version of one of their posters, outing HIMSELF as a “Right-On Sister“.
