It's been sometime since I last shared some new music, and as usual it's because I have been overwhelmed with work related matters.. composing new music, working on my website (which I will announce very soon! :) ) reorganizing all of my work all the way back from 2015 till today, finding new home for unused tracks on audiostocks, sound libraries or new projects, negotiating new deals and continuing to ensure that I keep on working full time as a composer (fire) I mentioned it in my previous post, but I am very proud to have inherited the “creative aspect“ from my wonderful mother, and the “business aspect“ from my ingenious father. I couldn't live without one or the other, they are like the “yin and yang“ for me. Today is a pretty cool day! And not only for the Star Wars fans, but also for those who enjoy a good mystery as the first DLC for the “The Case of the Golden Idol“ is officially out today! I absolutely loved working on the original soundtrack, so having the opportunity to compose more music for this really cool title was an honour and a bliss. It was a new challenge for me as musician, since this time around we are transported to mid 18th century Sri Lanka - to the origins of the Golden Idol. I had to convey that atmosphere using a lot of the Asian percussion and instruments, yet still hint at the original soundtrack, and unite those two worlds together. За саму игру думаю рассказывать не нужно, тут и так ясно что всё очень офигенно и лучше чем на Steam странице я не опишу! Но за саундтрек чутка расскажу) Когда мы закончили работу над первой игрой, мы даже и подумать не могли что ресепшн будет настолько хорош! Это был приятный сюрприз и для меня, и для ребят из Color Gray, поэтому когда мне в начале года написали что будет продолжение - я приятно офигел! Мне самому очень понравилась игра, и мы полностью прошли её с Фернандой, так что узнать что же будет дальше нам было оочень интересно. Сюжетный поворот с тем что в этот раз мы узнаем про истоки золотого идола, да ещё и через события что происходят в Шри Ланке меня приятно удивили! Было очень необычно писать саундтрек в индийском стиле, при этом не отходить от корней оригинального саундтрека, и добавить своего стиля в этот дивный, мистический и атмосферный игровой мир. -------------------------------------------------------- The Spider of Lanka begins in 1741, one year before the first scenario in The Case of the Golden Idol, and uncovers the awful origins of this five-decade tale of betrayal, greed, ambition and death.
